How to fix Quicktime Plugin error in Firefox

I've been looking everywhere and the only place I found the answer was in a cached website that is no longer available. And, I know many people have this problem; so I figure it is worthwhile to repost it.

In Firefox, if your browser shows the "Additional Plugin Required" error on pages that have sound files, and it prompts you to install Quick Time, but you already HAVE Quick Time, here's how to fix it.

Open the Quick Time Player.

Click Edit->Preferences-> Quick Time Preferences
In the drop-down box, select Browser Plugin
Click the Mime Settings Button
Under Audio, select WAVE AIF and MIDI
Under MP3, select both checkboxes.

Save the changes and restart firefox. Problem fixed.

To change the Windows XP Pro product key:

Log in as the local Administrator
Click Start > Run > and type in Regedit
Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\wpaevents


In the right pane, right-click OOBETimer, and then click Modify
Change at least one digit of this value to deactivate Windows
Click OK and close regedit
Click Start > Run and type in: "%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a"
Click Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows, and then click Next
Click Change Product Key (at the bottom)
Enter your valid Corporate Product Key
Press Update and close the window.
If you are returned to the previous window, click Remind me later
Restart your computer

令其十位數為X1，個位數為X2；( 如Ａ：X1=1 , X2=0 )；D表示2~9數字

How to remove MSN Messenger advertisement?

When you have the HEX editor running, follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are not running messenger. Right-click its icon in the system tray, and from the menu select Exit
2. Now you'll need to locate the messenger executable msnmsgr.exe, it will normally be in \Program Files\MEN Messenger\
3. Make a backup of the file. Right-click msnmsgr.exe and from the menu choose Copy. Now right-click on an empty area in the same folder, and select Paste from the menu. The backup will be named Copy of msnmsgr.exe. If you ever want to get back to the original file, simply delete msnmsgr.exe, and then rename Copy of msnmsgr.exe to msnmsgr.exe
4. From the menu in XVI32, choose File > Open, locate msnmsgr.exe, and open it
5. From the menu, select Address > Goto, select hexadecimal, and enter D236D, press OK
6. The value selected will be 74, simply type EB to replace it (so 74 becomes EB)
7. Repeat step 5 & 6, but for the value to search for now enter D23AA (step 6 stays identical)
8. When done select File > Save from the menu, and exit XVI32
9. Reopen Messenger 6, now without the ads!
